What is Prospector?

Prospector is Salestools' built-in lead database that helps you find and verify B2B contacts. Instead of manually searching LinkedIn or buying outdated lists, use Prospector to find the right people at the right companies.

Getting Started

Access Prospector

  1. Log into https://app.salestools.io
  2. Click Prospector in the main navigation
  3. Start searching for companies or contacts

Search Example

  1. Go to ProspectorCompanies
  2. Set filters:
    • Industry: Software / SaaS
    • Location: United States
    • Company Size: 51-200
  3. Click Search
  4. Review results and refine as needed

Saving Company Lists

  1. Select companies from search results
  2. Click Save to List
  3. Name your list (e.g., "US SaaS Mid-Market")
  4. Access saved lists from ProspectorMy Lists

Email Verification

All emails are verified in real-time:

  • Verified - Email confirmed deliverable

Exporting Prospects

Export to Campaign

Add prospects directly to an outreach campaign:

  1. Select contacts from search results
  2. Click Add to Campaign
  3. Select existing campaign or create new
  4. Contacts are added with all available data

Export to CSV

Download prospects for use outside Salestools:

  1. Select contacts
  2. Click ExportCSV
  3. Choose fields to include
  4. Download file

Export to CRM

Push prospects to your connected CRM:

  1. Select contacts
  2. Click ExportSalesforce or HubSpot
  3. Map fields as needed
  4. Contacts sync to your CRM

  1. Go to ProspectorEnrich
  2. Upload your CSV file
  3. Map your columns to Salestools fields
  4. Click Enrich List
  5. Download enriched file or add to campaign
