What is Prospector?
Prospector is Salestools' built-in lead database that helps you find and verify B2B contacts. Instead of manually searching LinkedIn or buying outdated lists, use Prospector to find the right people at the right companies.

Access Prospector
- Log into https://app.salestools.io
- Click Prospector in the main navigation
- Start searching for companies or contacts

Company Search Filters
Build your ideal customer profile with filters:

Search Example
To find SaaS companies in the US with 50-200 employees:
- Go to Prospector → Companies
- Set filters:
- Industry: Software / SaaS
- Location: United States
- Company Size: 51-200
- Click Search
- Review results and refine as needed
Saving Company Lists
- Select companies from search results
- Click Save to List
- Name your list (e.g., "US SaaS Mid-Market")
- Access saved lists from Prospector → My Lists

Find specific roles across companies:
- Go to Prospector → Contacts

- Search for the company name
- Click on the company profile
- View all available contacts
- Filter by department or seniority
- Select contacts to add to your list

Email Verification
All emails are verified in real-time:
- Verified - Email confirmed deliverable
- Catch-all - Domain accepts all emails (may bounce)
- Unknown - Could not verify (use with caution)

Exporting Prospects
Export to Campaign
Add prospects directly to an outreach campaign:
- Select contacts from search results
- Click Add to Campaign
- Select existing campaign or create new
- Contacts are added with all available data
Export to CSV
Download prospects for use outside Salestools:
- Select contacts
- Click Export → CSV
- Choose fields to include
- Download file
Export to CRM
Push prospects to your connected CRM:
- Select contacts
- Click Export → Salesforce or HubSpot
- Map fields as needed
- Contacts sync to your CRM
List Enrichment
Enrich Existing Contacts
Have a list with missing data? Enrich it:
- Go to Prospector → Enrich
- Upload your CSV file
- Map your columns to Salestools fields
- Click Enrich List
- Download enriched file or add to campaign
