Spin Syntax

With spin syntax, you can create multiple variations of a sentence that will be randomly selected when each email is sent.

Basic Spin Syntax​

Custom Greetings​

Avoid the spam folder by varying your greeting for each person:

{% spin 'Hi', 'Hey', 'Hello', 'Dear', 'Hallo', 'Hey There', 'Hi there' %} {{first_name}}

Sign-Off Variations​

Always spin your sign-off as well:

{% spin 'Cheers', 'Best', 'Best Regards', 'Ciao', 'Thanks' %}

Multi-Line Variations​

For longer variations like intros:

  {% variation %} Love it ❤️
  {% variation %} That's sooo cool

How It Works​

For each email Salestools sends, it randomly picks one of the variations. You can preview the result in the Preview panel - each time you open it, the sentence will change.

Best Practices​

  1. Use for greetings and sign-offs - These are commonly flagged by spam filters
  2. Create 3-5 variations - Enough variety without overcomplicating
  3. Keep meaning consistent - Variations should convey the same message
  4. Preview before sending - Check all variations look correct
